When disaster strikes, the magnitude damage and injuries may mean delays in receiving medical treatment, food, and water and disruptions to communication capabilities. The best way to protect yourself and your family is to educate yourself on the hazards that can affect your community, prepare at home, and get involved. Community resiliency starts at home.
San Clemente has two great emergency preparedness volunteer programs. The Community Emergency Response Team and the TriCities RACES programs help residents to prepare for disasters at home by teaching emergency preparedness and response skills and radio communication skills.
