We recommend that customers notify the City of any service need at least 2 business days in advance to ensure completion. City personnel must have access to your utility meters at all times to change service or take readings.
Open a new service account
Please contact the Utility Billing Division verbally by phone or in person and indicate the day service should begin. A $40.00 establishment fee is required to initiate service. A security deposit of $120 for residential service and $200 for commercial service will be required for water and sewer service. This deposit may be waived if a letter of reference can be provided from a previous utility company with 12 months of good pay history or if there are 12 months of good pay history with the City for a previous account.
Close an existing service account
Please contact the Utility Billing Division and indicate the day service should be terminated and your forwarding mailing address. There is no fee to disconnect. A final statement will be prepared in the billing cycle following the termination date.
Continuous service for Property Managers or Landlords
The optional "Continuous Service" program allows water service to continue uninterrupted between tenants without the need to call for future service transfers. Download an Application Form.
Temporary service connections for Realtors/Seller's Agents
Please submit an application for temporary water service to restore water service to a property where the seller/tenant has discontinued service. Depending on the dates of service, additional documentation may be required. Please contact a customer service representative for assistance. Download an Application Form.
