Thank you for your service.  You will be missed.  My condolences to Steve's wife, son and friends.  -Starr Bales

So sorry about your loss. I appreciated his dedication to our city. Sincerely, Joanna Mathews.

Dear Steve, Thank you for taking such time and care with our City.  I appreciate the time you took to meet with me and discuss the toll road and will miss your straight forward no non sense ways on the Dias.  I am deeply saddened by the out of town $$ and nightmare that has been unleashed in San Clemente in our political system by the new council members.  I am sorry you and Kathy and Chris had to endure the uncivilized behavior and lack of decency from a few people in this town.  I will be keeping your beautiful wife and son in my prayers for all time.  I do hope there is a way to bring dinner or maybe a college fund for your son announced soon so we may have a avenue for the sadness.  Many thank you for your time and care and I am so sorry to know you will not be leading our town going forward.  All my best.  Thank you - onwards and upwards -until we meet again.  Michelle Schumacher

Dear Mrs. Swartz and Family:  Our deepest condolences. Mayor Swartz was a dedicated man to our town and we are grateful for his service.  We will keep you in our prayers during this very difficult time in your lives.  Respectfully,  Gary and Zoila Tolosa

God bless your family. Comfort and peace be with you in Jesus name. Amen.  I've lived in San Clemente most of my life since the early 1980s. It is always my home. I am thankful to how beautiful it still is here. I'm thankful to all that gave their time to keep San Clemente well.  Thank you to mayor Steve Swartz.  Alysa Vancas

Dear Swartz Family,  My family sends condolences, and you are in our prayers. Mayor Swartz selflessly dedicated a great deal of time to San Clemente, and we are so appreciative of his willingness to serve. God Bless your family. We are so sorry for your loss. To my dear friends Steve,Nicki and Kyle.  My heart is broken, Steve will be so missed.  My mind has gone to memories of times we spend working and laughing together at South Coast Surety.  You are life long friends and I will never forget the kindness Steve and all the employees showed me and all the girls at the office.  Love always Jacque and Ben Metcalf
