Waste & Recycling Construction Guidelines for Commercial & Multi-Family Projects

Beginning July 1, 2012, Assembly Bill 341 [AB341] will require all businesses in California that generate 4 or more cubic yards of waste per week to recycle. Participating in a CR&R recycling program will assist your business in meeting the new recycling requirement. Businesses may also donate, sell and/or self-haul materials to a recycling facility. Information about California’s business recycling requirements is available from the California Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery [CalRecycle] at http://www.calrecycle.ca.gov/Recycle/Commercial/

If your business has hazardous waste that needs to be properly disposed of, check out The County of Orange Business Hazardous waste referrals here.
